John H. Stockamore graduated from St. Leo College in 1968 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration and Economics.
After college, John served two years in the United States Army's as an E.O.D. Specialist. This Unit was assigned to support all the other US Service Departments, along with the Secret Service, to protect the President of the United States, all other Governmental Officials and the public concerning all U.S. & Foreign military and civilian explosive devices and materials.
Upon completing his military duty he was employed for five years with the Florida Department of Transportation in the South Florida District No. 4. His responsibilities were to appraise real estate and review Fee Appraisers’ work for the FDOT throughout the Districts’ nine-county region of South Florida. While with the department he successfully completed the American Institute of Real Estate Appraisal courses (MAI) I-A and II at the University of Tampa, Florida, and Course I-B in Chicago, Illinois.
In 1975 he founded and began managing Stockamore Realty, Inc. in order to utilize his appraisal experience and expand into general real estate sales and commercial property development. He grew the company from a four-person office to two offices of approximately 60 sales people. Stockamore Realty, Inc. was sold in 1984 in order to devote his full attention to residential and commercial real estate development and investments.
Amerity Development and Investments, Inc. was established in 1982 with his brother Rick Stockamore, VP and several administrative personnel. The primary goal of the Company is to develop, manage and retain class “A” commercial real estate investment properties and assets. The company has experience processing large tracts of land for single and multiple family developments, for sale to large National Home Builders.
John has a diversified real estate background, having experience in all facets of commercial and industrial development, appraising, financing, management, investing, marketing, and construction aspects. He is a registered real estate broker in the State of Florida and president of Amerity Real Estate Advisors, Inc., a Florida real estate brokerage company.
Mr. Stockamore's directions and goals are accumulate and retain real estate assets to enable growth and long-term stable income streams for his company, investors and personally. He has been a Fort Lauderdale resident since 1962. John is married with three children and three grand children. He enjoys outdoor recreational and family activities, such as traveling, water and snow skiing, fishing and professional sporting events. John is the captain of a mens’ USTA Tennis Team, with their home at Jimmy Evert Tennis Center in Ft. Lauderdale’s Holiday Park.
